Lana Pastirk (b. 1998, Slovenia) holds a Master’s degree in Glass and Ceramics and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana. Her master’s thesis received the UL ALUO Award for the 2023/2024 academic year. She furthered her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Poland.

She has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and her work New Birds is included in the permanent collection of ALUO. Lana has participated in the international V-oglje symposium and has been an artist-in-residence at the Layer House and at Guldagergaard – International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark. She is also the recipient of the Primavera 2023 Award and the Ex Terra Krško Award.

Her practice primarily focuses on sculptural works that often draw inspiration from poetry. In addition to her artistic creations, she also designs functional objects, exploring the dialogue between form, meaning, and everyday use.
